Food by FARE

Bright flavors, seasonal ingredients, healthful fare.

The Issue

Food by FARE–a restaurant chain in Chicago known for its hearty bowls, breakfast options, and catering choices–faced a challenge in creating awareness for their new 1st party app developed in collaboration with Lunchbox Technologies. They needed an effective marketing campaign to generate excitement and attract customers for the grand opening of their new location. The goal was to reach health-conscious individuals, including those with dietary restrictions, and provide them with a seamless digital ordering experience that highlighted FARE’s diverse menu offerings.

The Result

To address these challenges, the Lunchbox Studio Team took on the task of creating print and digital marketing assets to promote FARE’s new app and drive customer downloads. The campaign aimed to raise awareness by utilizing visually appealing print materials such as flyers, posters, and banners, showcasing vibrant food visuals and providing clear instructions for app download. The team also designed digital assets including social media graphics, app store banners, and email templates to engage customers and communicate the convenience and versatility of the app. Then Lunchbox Studio developed a marketing campaign specifically for the grand opening of FARE’s new location, focusing on unique menu options and catering services. By implementing these strategies, Food by FARE experienced a successful app launch and increased customer engagement, while generating anticipation and attracting customers to their new location through an effective marketing campaign.

The Design Process

1
Objectives: We first meet with the client to establish a collective understanding on the specific assets required for the upcoming launch. This ensures a cohesive approach and clear communication regarding the creative deliverables.
2
Moodboard Inspiration: The team then gathers design images from various online sources to effectively capture and convey the desired message and tone. These carefully selected visuals serve as a source of inspiration and reference for the creative process.
3
Thumbnail Sketches: The team creates preliminary sketches to gain a deeper understanding of the desired layout, hierarchy, and typography. These rough sketches explore different ideas and aid in the visualization of potential design directions.
4
Create Templates: Once a consensus is reached regarding the layout, the team embarks on the creation of numerous templates. These templates serve a twofold purpose: firstly, they provide clients with a tangible representation of the final vision for their branding, enabling them to envision the end result; secondly, these templates serve as a valuable starting point for designers, providing them with a foundation to commence their work.
5
Apply FARE’s branding: After carefully assessing and determining the most suitable templates, the team proceeds to apply FARE’s branding guidelines to the designs. This ensures that the template designs align seamlessly with the established branding elements of FARE, enhancing brand consistency and visual coherence.
