Everyone says the last few months of college are stressful, but what about post-grad life? Yeah, I think it’s crazier. Job hunting, apartment finding, searching for roommates, deciding what city to live in…. I may not have as much work as I did in college, but I’m just as stressed out.
Life’s been pretty crazy lately. Last month I graduated college. I have a BFA in graphic design with a communication emphasis. The day after graduation, I said goodbye to Orange County. Don’t worry, I’ll be back to visit friends (and Disneyland… let’s be real here) but I’m pretty done with the OC. I had some good memories, but I’m ready to move on.
In fact, I plan on moving up to San Francisco next month. I’m taking a big leap: moving 500 miles away from all my family and friends to an unknown city, all while I’m unemployed… for now. As soon as I get up there I can’t wait to try to get my foot in the door of all these incredible design agencies that SF has to offer. And if you know of anybody looking for a graphic designer in the bay area, let me know, okay? Cool.
Making all of these big decisions in such a short time is challenging. I’m at a big turning point in my life. I’m not really sure what direction I should be going just yet, but I’m confident that I’m moving forward. I know everything is going to work itself out. Cheers to the future.
So that’s what’s been going on in my life. I’ve been working hard self promoting myself. So my website got a much needed facelift. Feel free to check around. And I added some of my recent projects to my design page, so check those out too.
Like my work? I’m looking to do some freelance work! Feel free to contact me for an estimate. I’d love to start doing more design work soon.
I’ll be sure to keep you updated on my life, so check back soon. And stay cool.
