Happy Monday! Did you know I graduate college in 68 days?? Yes, I’m literally counting down the days till commencement. I’m so close to starting a new chapter in my life, I can hardly contain myself. And while I’m very excited, I’ve been pretty stressed out lately. Cause graduating from college usually leads to one thing: Job Hunting. Which means resumes and interviews and all the stress that comes with those. I know I don’t graduate for a few months, but I’m trying to land a job before then. So I’m doing all that I can to make sure I’m ready.
And in order to get ready for job interviews, I’ve been doing a lot of self branding lately. Brand identity is key for my profession, but any designer can tell you that branding yourself is one of the HARDEST things to do. You are your toughest client, and while you may think you truly know yourself, it’s very difficult to describe yourself in colors and words. But you know what? My brand identity has been years in the making, and I’m pretty confident it best reflects me and what I want to do. Take a look.
This is only half of it. I still got a lot more to offer the world. For those interested, I’m looking to move to San Francisco or Seattle. I’m hoping to work for an Ad Agency or Design Firm. If you guys know of any places in these areas that are hiring, please email me their information. I’d really appreciate it!
But I haven’t just been working on my personal branding, and been working on myself too. These past few months have been a big trial for me. I’ve learned what it’s like to be on my own. And since I want to move to San Francisco or Seattle, that means leaving my friends and family behind and REALLY being on my own. And that terrifies me. But I’m pretty confident that I’ll be okay, and that fear is what is pushing me to do better. I know I have my flaws but I’m damn proud of who I am and what I’ve accomplished.
As always, I’m still growing and changing, just like this website. I’m in the process of updating more portfolio items and my about page, so be sure to check back with those. Here’s to a productive week!
