If you like my work, please come to the Opening Gala Show Monday, April 6 at Chapman University. If you’re not able to make it, but you still would like to look at the rest of my work, don’t hesitate to contact me. Now all that’s left to do is print it out (which is the second most stressful part.) Pray to the printer gods that I don’t get a paper jam or run out of ink!
In other news, to get ready for the show, I also updated some of the work on my design page, so please check it out! You’ll notice at the top of my page there’s a link to my other design website. You’re probably thinking, “Lindsey, you already have an awesome website, why do you need a second one?” Well, my friends, that design website I created ALL ON MY OWN. I’ve been taking some web design classes, and I’ve been learning how to code and I LOVE IT. So that was my final project for the class, but it’s also serving as my design website for now. While I love this website, it has it’s drawbacks.
I guess I jumped on the website bandwagon early, and I created this website using Squarespace because I didn’t know anything about coding yet. Squarespace is AMAZING and creates beautiful sites for people who don’t know the first thing about coding, but for people that do, it’s restricting. They won’t let you edit the code yourself, which kind of sucks…
I eventually want to make my own website from scratch. But first I need to figure out how to add a blog… That’s the only reason I’m still using squarespace, for this pretty little blog here. Hopefully soon I can figure out how to make it on my own and my website will get a whole new makeover once again. But in the meantime, I have this for another year, so it’ll do for now.
So those are a few updates in my life. Let me know what you think of my portfolio! I’d love any kind of feedback, whether you hate it or not.
P.S. I cut off all my hair! I forgot how great short hair is. I love it. Anyway, I hope you have a good day!
